Frequently asked questions

How does the mail-in film process work?

Order your service, mail your film to us, and we’ll take care of the rest. Once your roll arrives, we develop, scan, or print it (depending on your order). Your original negatives are shipped back for free.

What types of film do you process?

We handle a wide range of formats, including:

  • 35mm film
  • 120 (medium format)
  • APS film
  • New photo film stocks

We also develop disposable cameras, offer scanning and photo printing, and run a small film-focused e-store.

How fast is your turnaround time?

We process film quickly — usually within 1–2 business days after your film arrives at our lab.

Is shipping free?

Yes!

  • Mail-in film orders: Free return shipping of your negatives.
  • Shop purchases: Free shipping on all items.

You only pay for shipping your film to us.

Do you return my negatives?

Absolutely. We return your negatives safely and securely with your free return shipment.

How will I receive my scans?

You’ll get a download link to your high-resolution scans as soon as they're ready.

Do you accept expired film?

No — we do not handle or develop expired film. If expired film is sent to us by mistake, we’ll simply return it to you.

What happens if my film is blank or undevelopable?

If a roll cannot be developed, we return it to you exactly as we received it. No extra fees.

What about lost or damaged film?

We treat every roll with great care. However, film is a delicate medium, and Roll To Print is not responsible for film lost or damaged during shipping or due to pre-existing film issues.

Do you offer refunds?

Because film development is a custom service, we cannot offer refunds for developed rolls. If you have any concerns, just reach out — we’re always happy to help.

Can I buy film or accessories from you?

Yes! Our e-store offers fresh films, accessories, and photo prints — all shipped for free.
